Traditional cybersecurity is rooted in the same concepts as the physical world... firewalls, shields, guards etc. 

Hoops that can deter breeches and bad actors, but if these measures are defeated, hackers are rewarded with an unprecedented level of access!

But in the digital world, no one needs to hold the master key? 
No one needs to be blindly trusted. 

and if you are struggling to picture this, think of an ant colony instead... 

Ants can execute high-level strategies: wage war, acquire territory, build bridges, farm fungi. All these require cooperation across the entire colony - but if any individual ant is compromised, the show goes on. 

This is what inspired Michael Loewy and UV Hertzog to build a system that requires no hierarchy, truly zero-trust, a decentralised system of cybersecurity, known as ineffable cryptography."
